Late-breaking news from Mondial Diagnostics at AIDS 2022
Mondial Diagnostics’ Senior Scientist dr. Erika van den Bogaart, and Anna Saura-Lázaro, medical epidemiologist and PhD student at the Barcelona Institute for Global Health (ISGlobal), will be attending the AIDS 2022 conference in Montreal, Canada, from July 29 to August 2, where they will present late-breaking news with their poster “A point-of-care triage test for HIV virological failure: filling the gaps in viral load coverage”, on the first field study with our new IP-10 rapid diagnostic test performed by Stellenbosch University in South Africa. A full peer-reviewed paper on the study is expected to be published later this year.
Updated Schistosomiasis POC-CCA test
Mondial Diagnostics is among the proud recipients of a grant from USAID, through the Coalition for Operational Research on Neglected Tropical Diseases (COR-NTD), for a project to improve the reliability and interpretation of the POC-CCA rapid test for schistosomiasis in low- and high-endemic settings, together with the University of Glasgow, University of Surrey, Ministry of Health Uganda, and Leiden University Medical Center. Mondial Diagnostics is a non-profit foundation that aims to contribute to the international efforts to structurally improve healthcare for poverty-related diseases, especially in low- and middle-income countries. We stimulate the establishment of a local infrastructure to support the manufacturing and distribution of rapid diagnostic tests for poverty-related diseases in those parts of the world where they are most needed.
Mondial Diagnostics develops new rapid diagnostic tests for use at the point-of-care, and these tests are then manufactured and distributed by our partners through our Knowledge and Technology Transfer program.
We also sell antigens for the manufacturing of diagnostic tests, and provide services and advice related to diagnostic test development, implementation, and quality control.
