Digital Health Connectivity

Mobile telecommunications technology is rapidly taking on a prominent role in healthcare worldwide; new health-related phone apps are appearing at a faster rate than ever before.

In low- and middle-income countries mobile technology has the capability of accelerating the transformation of healthcare by interconnecting patients with healthcare suppliers and payors, which can improve accessibility, especially for the poor, increase efficiency and reduce costs. Rapid point-of-care diagnostics are ideally suited to play an important role in this transformation.

Mondial Diagnostics participates in this transformation through testing and optimizing, both in the laboratory and in the field, of mobile systems that can translate the results of rapid diagnostic tests into digital information that is transmitted to the cloud as part of the digital health connectivity network, for further review and follow-up, and for use in epidemiological public health studies.

Mondial Diagnostics participated in a field study in Kenya together with the PharmAccess Foundation, which was published here.
